A Note About Our Pies and Ingredients
We are a local, family owned and operated business out of Niwot, CO and five-generation Colorado natives
These recipes have been passed down through the women in my family generation after generation starting with my great-grandmother. They have stood the test of time and brought joy to many hungry mouths and souls
Our pies are made fresh
by hand, with high quality natural ingredients, which give consumers incomparable pleasure in taste and remind them of the old fashioned pie mom made in the good old days. Both the regular and the specialty pies are a core competency product, superior in quality and taste to any pies on the market, not to be compared to the low priced value pies currently saturating the market
Our crust is made with butter and a smidge of non-trans fat shortening
Our fruit is local and organic, when possible, and always of the highest quality. We never use high-fructose corn syrup or any ingredients that contain GMO's (including our flour). For our Pecan Pie, we do not use the customary Karo syrup, but rather Agave nectar which we think you'll find delightful
We have blue ribbons and awards to show for our pies
but we take most pride in our satisfied (and somewhat obsessed) customers. We would love to make you one of them!
We are thrilled to share our pie with you and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me

Until now I haven't chosen to associate my name with any commercial pie venture, only with charitable events and publications
I am assisting My Mom's Pie for numerous reasons. First and foremost is integrity. The owners are upstanding, hard-working, hands-on business people who are also highly community minded. Secondly, they make very good pies that I've found to be consistently good over time. Once customers taste them they are hooked
Their vision of a pie-centered retail and wholesale business is more than viable given the location and minimal competition in the niche
The inclusion of small meal dishes including quiche and pot pie will attract business during all meal occasions. In the current period of economic uncertainty, comfort food is king and affordable luxuries such as pie are in demand. The owners' plan to operate a mobile pie truck is also a smart move given the boom in food trucks and stands and the owners' experience vending at farmers' markets

Our pies are home-made, with heart, in our Boulder kitchen using local fruit and the finest ingredients. Nothing can compare to the delectable recipes, perfected over decades and passed down through 4 generations of women in my family. We roll out each pie by hand and heap them full of tart n' sassy apples, plump cherries, blueberries, bodacious blackberries, raspberries, luscious peaches, real chocolate, banana or heavenly coconut-cream then we top them off with love.
