The full day trip on the Kennebec River offers you the opportunity to paddle some exciting class II and III whitewater rapids in your own inflatable kayak. FunYaks are easy to maneuver and great for novice paddlers. The trip is guided and covers eight beautiful miles of river. You'll learn basic whitewater paddling skills, and it won't be long before you are crashing through waves and trying your hand at wave surfing. Whew. Sounds exhausting. Good thing you'll have a picnic lunch to refuel so you can take on the rapids again.Cancellation Policy: For cancellations more than 30 days in advance of your activity date, vendor will retain a $25 per person cancellation fee and refund the rest. If you cancel 30 days or less in advance, you forfeit the entire cost of your trip. Trips and clinics run regardless of the weather. In the event of a major weather event, we would make the decision to cancel on the morning of the trip at Moxie Outdoor Adventures and would refund the trip in full.

Kennebec River Full Day Rafting
Duration: 10 hours; $79. Getting a little too complacent with your daily routine? Try getting in touch with your wild side with Moxie Outdoor Adventures! The Kennebec River offers a class IV+ whitewater rafting adventure perfect for thrill-seekers. As you enter the steep granite walls of the Kennebec Gorge, large waves can be seen ahead. From this point on, the Kennebec River plunges 12 miles through a spectacular gorge with crashing class III - IV+ wave rapids like "Big Mama," "Whitewasher," and "The Alleyway." The high point of the day is the run through class IV+ Magic Falls. Families with younger children can opt to ride in a row frame raft or join the trip at the Middle River access point. There are many Class III + rapids from this point on, offering plenty of time for swimming and enjoying the river. You'll even get to stop along the river bank where your guides will cook up a steak and chicken barbeque with their famous Moxie Beans. This easy-going, unguided adventure is the perfect way to get your feet wet! You'll immerse yourself in the renowned beauty Maine as travel from The Forks to Caratunk over the course of 3 hours and 8 miles on the water. Better yet, you'll have the option to travel down Lower Kennebec in either an inflatable kayak, canoe, or raft! While this section of the river doesn't offer a serious challenge, you'll still tackle some fun, splashy Class I and II rapids that are ideal for novice rafters or families.
