Develop muscle definition and strength in lower body, upper body, and core by using different types of resistance - barbells, dumbbells, weighted bars & balls, resistance bands, etc. You will activate and recruit muscle fibers responsible for producing force (i.e. strength) and improving muscle definition (i.e. muscle's appearance). To achieve gains in strength, you need to lift a weight that is heavy enough to make the final repetition very challenging, but does not cause "failure" (started but could not complete a repetition). If you work at this level of intensity for 30 minutes, you won't need to do an hour of strength training!

Fit Barre
Fit Barre blends leg exercises at the barre, arm toning with light weights, and Pilates core work to create a challenging and effective workout that will reshape your body! The class untilizes the ballet barre to focus on the thighs and seat for beautiful legs and a tight derriere. Pilates-based moves focus on the abdominals to flatten and strengthen your core. Light weights are used for the upper body toning section that will sculpt your shoulders and chisel your arms. Each strengthening section of the class is followed by a stretching section in order to create strong, long, lean muscles without bulk, while increasing range of motion and flexibility. HIIT Cardio
30 minute high intensity interval training class for cardio conditioning. "High Intensity" means working hard at your personal intensity level. In our 30 minute HIIT classes, participants will move at different speeds and may also do slightly different moves to achieve their personal level of high intensity for each exercise or cardio drill. That's why HIIT is for everyone! Cardio conditioning is excellent for burning calories and helping to reduce the body's fat layer. Through HIIT Cardio, you will also achieve post-exercise calorie burn, called "EPOC". By working as hard as you can during the cardio intervals, your body will continue to burn calories for up to several hours after your class. How do you know you're working hard enough to get the EPOC effect? Two ways - (1) wear a heart rate monitor that indicates when you are in your anaerobic zone (a trainer can help you determine this) - or - (2) work hard enough that you feel slightly breathless by the end of the cardio drill and you are not capable of carrying a conversation by the end. The second method is call Rate of Perceived Exertion: on a scale of 1-10 (easy to hardest), you're working at an "7 or 8" during the cardio drills

Get results with Interval XT! Interval XT is a cross-training class based on the principles of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). The cardio exercises will incorporate plyometric moves, with a low impact option always offered. For the strength training work, you will use various weights and resistance bands and perform body-weight exercises like push-ups, planks, and tricep dips.
