Wes and Robin Maynard started in the Restaurant business in 1988 in the small western town of Breckenridge, TX. After 4 years of operating in Breckenridge, they sold their shares of the business so they could move back home to Parker County and open a place of their own. The plan was simple - offer great food and friendly service at a reasonable price, do right by your employees and community, and success will come to you. The doors to the Mesquite Pit opened in April of 1993 and we try to reach those goals everyday. In 2000, our success allowed us to expand from a small place next to a grocery store to a restaurant the size it is today.
