The Marsibilio family first came to America in 1910 from Pretoro, Italy. They settled in Philadelphia, but later moved to Marquette, Michigan. Carmine and Concetta Marsibilio had five children.
Pretoro, Italy is located in the Abruzzo region of Italy. It is approximately 70 miles due east of Rome. The region is bordered by the Adriatic Sea to the east, with the Apennine Mountains dominating the majority of the inlands. The region is home to some of the best preserved medieval towns, pristine nature preserves, and some of Italy’s finest woodworkers. The Abruzzo region was also the home to the parents of Dean Martin.
Kevin is the great-grandson of Carmine and Concetta. We use some of the same recipes that Concetta used while she was raising her five children. Come in and try a taste of the old world today
