Enzymes are a necessity for every cell process in the body. Enzymes are considered prote-olytic. They digest proteins. In a facial treatment, the enzyme powder is mixed with a "wetting" solution into the consistency of a pancake batter, and gently brushed onto the skin. It must remain moist. The action of the enzyme dissolves different forms of cellular debris and buildup leaving the skin soft, clearer, and more receptive to any subsequent correction product. Your professionals at Marco Skin & Body Boutique will analyze your skin and work with you to determine how many treatments will be needed to obtain the results you desire. Typically 10-20 treatments are given depending on skin damage and life-style. Treatments last 45 minutes to an hour.
Upon completion of treatments, a home care regimen will be recommended to help maintain the results.

How does the VI Peel work?
It tackles skin problems at the cellular level rather than just burning skin off. Thanks to concerted actions of its many acids and vitamins, it will help erase fine lines and wrinkles, shrink enlarged pores and build collagen and elastin which tighten skin. It is extremely effective in practically eliminating hyperpigmentation including melasma the most difficult pigmentation issue to address.

What can I expect from the VI Peel?
The skin will look slightly tan, yellow, or red immediately after the peel. On days one and two the skin will feel slightly tighter, with no visible signs of having had a peel. Any pigmented areas might appear slightly darker. On approximately day three, you will begin to peel. The first signs of peeling usually begin around the mouth area and continue for a day or two. By day six or seven, you will be done peeling and the results tend to be very significant. It takes your skin 4-6 days after you finish peeling for the skin to return to its normal PH level and to see the final effects.
What is the recommended number of treatments?
The VI Peel may be repeated as often as every two weeks initially, if necessary, for damaged skin and problematic skin. Our recommendation for maintenance of average skin would be once every 6 months to prevent damage and aging of the skin. Your skin care professional will evaluate your skin, as well as your goals and expectations and make an appropriate recommendation for ongoing skin care.

Electroporation uses short modulated pulses of a low current to create transient aqueous pores in the skin.
This application of an electrical pulse momentarily disrupts the cell membrane, allowing the entry of product. When the pulse ceases, the membrane returns to its original structure, leaving product that has been penetrated into the interior of the cell in place! The effect of the electroporation lasts for a few seconds, therefore allowing the introduction of product. This dramatically increases skin permeability. In lay mans language...electroporation is opening a door that allows us to insert products deeper into the skin.
This process also stimulates your skin to enable muscle toning, draining of liquids from intercellular space (helps with puffiness), and the production of new collagen and elastin.
