A class designed to help your child with motor skills, socialization, hand-eye coordination, and development of self-confidence. Concentration on basic motor and perceptual skills is part of each class. Children will be introduced to each gymnastics apparatus and their preliminary skills. One adult must accompany a parent-tot child as an active participant throughout the 45-minute class. Students may attend 1-2 times per week.
Beginners 1 (4-5 years old)
Gymnasts will be introduced to all events and encouraged in learning the basics. A focus on form will be experienced. Students may attend 1-2 times per week. (45 minutes).
Beginners 2 (5 - 7 years old)
Students will be introduced to the basics of vault, uneven bars, balance beam, tumbling and trampoline. Students may attend 1-2 times per week (1 hour).
Climbers (6 - 8 years old)
Students in this class will be introduced to further skill development on all events. Students are enrolled in this class after passing beginners. Students may attend 1 or 2 days a week (1 hour).
Intermediate Progression (7 - 9 years old)
he intermediate class is for those who have passed the climbers class. They will be introduced to more advanced skills while continuing to work technique. Students may attend 1 -2 times per week (1 1/2 hours).
Upper Progression (8 - 10 years old)
This class is for students who passed the intermediate progression class. These students will work towards the strength and refining of all skills they have been learning. Students may attend 1-2 times per week. (1 1/2 hours).
Blue Diamond Advanced (9 and up)
This class is intended for the student who wishes to go to a more advanced skill level. Skills in this class will help them towards competition level development. Student may attend 1-2 days a week (2 hours).
Black Diamond Advanced (9 and up)
This is the highest level of class of gymnastics offered at MAGS. All gymnastics skills and connections taught in this class are intended for those who want to experience a pre competition level practice. Students may attend 1-2 days a week (2 hours).
Achievers (Special Needs)
The opportunity for learning basic gymnastics is open to children with special needs. With more individual attention for students, our coaches will adapt the class to the needs of each child in a fun and positive atmosphere.
Boys Progression (5 and up)
Boys in this class will be divided according to age and level of gymnastics experience. They will be introduced to floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar as well as trampoline. Students may attend 1-2 days a week (1 1/2 hours).
Fast Track (Students are chosen by coaches for this class)
This is an accelerated class for students who show fast advancement in their previous classes. Students may attend 1-2 days a week (1 1/2 hours).
Dance Tumbling
This class is for competitive dancers who would like to learn tumbling skills and leaps!
