Manchester Country Club with its' magnificent sweeping valley views is located on some of the most beautiful countryside in Southern Vermont. Opened for play in 1970 the course was originally designed by Geoffrey Cornish of Amherst, Massachusetts, a golf course architect of long excellent reputation who at that time was also serving as President of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. A total back nine renovation, completed in 2003, by the original course architect in combination with architect Steve Durkee, resulted in a course that has quickly been recognized as one of the finest in New England. Manchester Country Club operates as a traditional private club in the peak season and has made a limited window available in the shoulder seasons to accommodate guest access.
