Parent-Child Gymnastics
Walking to Age 3
Madtown Twisters Parent-Child Gymnastics Class is a 45-minute parent participation program for children walking to 3 years old. This is a semi-structured class where each child is given the opportunity to explore a wide variety of movement concepts and skills in a safe and positive learning environment. Activities are personalized to give each child a chance to develop his/her greatest potential. Activities include basic gymnastics, obstacle courses, trampolines, music and dancing, and climbing and jumping. Social interaction is encouraged.
Tots Independent
Ages 3
Our younger Tots Gymnastics Program is a non-stop, safe, and fun 45-minute class that your young one will love! Classes focus on basic gymnastics, and locomotor skills, and utilize gymnastics equipment, trampoline, obstacle courses, climbing equipment, and music.
Ages 3+ to 5
Madtown Twisters Tots Gymnastics Class is an independent 45-minute class for children ages 3+ - 5yrs. Classes focus on basic gymnastics and locomotor skills, and utilize gymnastics equipment, trampolines, obstacle courses, climbing equipment, and music. The class is a fun mix of gymnastics fundamentals and other physical skills necessary for any sport.
Younger Kids Gymnastics
Ages 5 to 6
Madtown Twisters 5-to-6-Year-Old Program is a co-ed class for kids that are just beginning school. The class is a fun introduction to fundamentals on boys and girls Olympic events, along with fitness development for any sport. Classes utilize boys and girls gymnastics equipment as well as trampolines and tumble traks.
Advanced Younger Kids Gymnastics
This program requires instructor's consent.
Girls Recreational Gymnastics
All of our girls gymnastics classes focus on basic gymnastics on all 4 Olympic events, as well as the tumble-trak and trampoline. Skill progressions are divided into 6 levels and children advance through the levels at their own pace. Classes are divided both by age and skill level.
Ages 7 to 10 - Beginning, Levels 1 and 2

Girls Gymnastics Ages 11+
The Jr. High/High School Class is for girls ages 11 and up. This class focuses on gymnastics skills on all of the Olympic events, and is a good lead up for girls that are interested in participating in competitive gymnastics in high school.
Tramp and Tumbling
Boys & Girls Ages 7 to 12
Co-ed Tumbling and Trampoline Classes are perfect for cheerleaders, divers, snowboarders, or kids with backyard trampolines who could use some direction with skills and safety techniques. Our Tramp & Tumbling classes utilize our spring floor, tumble-traks, and built-in trampolines.
Ninja Training
Our Ninja Training Classes incorporate Speed, Agility, Fitness and Gymnastics into a fun fast-paced class.

Class Schedules
Welcome to Madtown Twisters! The Best in Gymnastics, Fitness & Fun…Since 1982. To Reserve Your Space in Class. First, choose a program, and class time(s). You can register for gymnastics classes online-simply set up an account and you will be ready to go.
Tuition is Monthly
In most cases, classes average 4 weeks per month. We close for vacations approximately 4 weeks during the year.
Continued Enrollment is Assumed
To safeguard and retain your child's space in class, continued enrollment is assumed. Written notice must be received by the 15th to withdraw at the month's end, or you will be responsible for the following month's tuition.
Automatic Payment is Required
Payments are automatically deducted from your checking account or credit card on the 2nd day of the month.
Refund Policy
Tuition Fees are non-refundable. We are not able to offer credits or refunds for missed classes.
Family Discounts
2nd Child – 10%, 3rd Child – 20%, 4th Child – Free (discounts taken off lowest tuition amount).
Make-Ups
Madtown Twisters is unable to offer make-ups for missed classes. We do offer free open gyms with all monthly tuition, and would be happy to give you an open gym pass for missed class to bring a sibling or friend with you to one of our open gyms.
What to Wear
Shorts and t-shirt or leotard should be worn for class. Warm ups are ok as needed. Socks are optional. Please, no jewelry. Leave Valuables at Home. This is occasionally a problem. We can assume no responsibility for lost or stolen items (cell phones, money, etc.).

Madtown Twisters Team Philosophy
Our mission is to help each child become the best gymnast that they can be, as well as a happy, healthy and responsible person. We follow a positive educational approach, and strive for each participant to become a strong individual. We want our gymnasts to love the sport of gymnastics, be proud of their participation, develop a sound base of self-confidence, and have a lasting view of fitness as an important part of life.
Recognition for Madtown Twisters Team Gymnasts
Throughout the years, Madtown Twisters Gymnastics has had thousands of competitive team level gymnasts, many becoming State and Regional Champions, National Qualifiers, and NCAA college scholarship recipients. Even more of our athletes have gone on to become standout athletes in their respective high schools.
Competitive Gymnastics Programs
Girls Competitive Gymnastics Programs
Madtown Twisters offers two programs for girls gymnastics. We have the Junior Olympic Program, which begins with compulsory gymnastics. We also offer the Xcel Program, which is a new program started by USA Gymnastics that provides an affordable competitive experience outside the traditional Junior Olympic program.
Boys Competitive Gymnastics Program
Madtown Twisters offers a team gymnastics program for boys.
USA Gymnastics
USA Gymnastics is the premier governing body in our sport. They provide us with compulsory routines for level 2-5, the code of points for optional gymnasts, the rules and code of points for the Xcel program, and rules, policies and guidelines for the advancement throughout the levels. Every competitive athlete is required to be a member of USA Gymnastics.
Madtown Twisters Girls Gymnastics Teams
Madtown Twisters Gymnastics offers two competitive programs for girls team gymnastics. Girls ages 6 and up are eligible to compete.
Madtown Twisters Junior Olympic Program
The Junior Olympic Program begins with compulsory gymnastics. Levels 2-5 are considered compulsory levels. All athletes at a given level compete the same skills and routines and are judged on their basic form and technique. Levels 6-10 are considered optional levels. At these levels, gymnasts and coaches customize the routines with individual music choice, skill selection, and choreography. Skill and difficulty requirements vary depending on level. The Junior Olympic gymnastics program requires a high level of commitment to the sport, especially at the optional levels. Gymnasts at the top level of this program (level 10) often receive college scholarships.
Madtown Twisters Xcel Program
The Xcel Program is a new program started by USA Gymnastics that provides an affordable competitive experience outside the traditional Junior Olympic program. Xcel offers the same team experience traveling to meets, earning awards, and making lifelong friendships. However, Xcel is more flexible, less demanding, and more affordable than the Junior Olympic program. Xcel has 5 competitive levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond. Each level has different skill and difficulty requirements, and routines are customized with individual music choice, skill selection, and choreography. The Xcel gymnastics program is an excellent choice for girls that love gymnastics and wish to compete, but are unable to commit the time necessary to be competitive in the Junior Olympics Program.
Girls Gymnastics Tryouts
Invitations to the Madtown Twisters Girls team go out twice a year—at the end of the fall season and in the spring. We select girls from our regular class programs based on skill level, strength, flexibility, and work ethic. Girls can also ask to be evaluated for the team program if they don't receive an invite or are moving from another program. Girls gymnastics teams of all levels are offered Madtown Twisters.
Madtown Twisters Boys Gymnastics Team
The Madtown Twisters Boys team follows the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Program. Boys ages 6 and up are eligible to compete. Over the years the Madtown Twisters Boys team has had state, regional, and national qualifiers. Levels 4-7 are considered compulsory levels. Each gymnast performs the same skills and is judged on form and technique. Levels 8-10 are considered optional levels. Gymnasts work with their coaches to customize their routines. Difficulty and skill requirements vary depending on level.
Boys Gymnastics Tryouts
Boys gymnastic team tryouts are held 1-2 times a year. Boys can also ask for an individual evaluation if they are moving from another program. The Madtown Twisters Gymnastics boys team is currently offered only at our WEST location.
Boys Gymnastics Team Coach Recognized
Liz Virnig is our Head Boys Gymnastics Team Coach and Boys Program Director. In 2013, Liz was recognized as Coach of the Year by the Wisconsin Coaches Association.

Open Gym is the perfect time to come check out what our gyms have to offer. Explore our gym by jumping on trampolines, bouncing on the tumble traks into the foam pits, and scavenging through our obstacles courses…and who can forget our inflatables!
Madtown Twisters Offers Open Gym Times for Various Age Groups.
With trampolines, obstacle courses, bouncy houses, and more, you're sure to have a great time and burn off some of that excess energy.

Family Open Gym
Family Open Gym is for all ages. During this open gym, a supervising adult per two children must be present and stay with them at all times. You must have a completed and signed waiver form. (A new waiver form is due every September.) In addition, we ask that you follow these rules during Family Open Gym:
No high beams. No high bars. No flipping.
Foam Pit
One person at a time (both in the foam pit and down the tumble track). No digging holes in the foam pit and no throwing foam.
Trampoline
Only one child at a time. You must stay in the middle, and you must not jump off.
No adults allowed on any of the equipment.
Mixed Open Gym
Mixed Open Gym is for all ages. However, ages 7 and older may be dropped off. Children under 6 and younger must accompanied by a supervising adult. One adult per two children must be present and stay with them at all times. You must have a completed and signed waiver form. (A new waiver form is due every September.) In addition, we ask that you follow these rules during Mixed Open Gym:

Madtown Twisters Open Gym Schedule 2019-20 School Year. Our Open Gyms are the best place for children to socialize and have fun, all the while staying as safe as possible. Enjoy and explore our gym filled with trampolines, obstacle courses, bounce houses, and more. (Note: Depending on the type of open gym, the equipment that is out for kids to play on is subject to change.) You must have a completed and signed waiver form.

Madtown Twisters 4 day Skill Camps offer an excellent introduction to the sport for beginners, and a chance to improve and perfect skills for more experienced gymnasts. Camps will include instruction on the four womens Olympic events as well as trampoline and tumble-trak.girls gymnastics team Madison WI Morning snack will be included. Skill camps will be offered the following weeks: Week of June 29th; Week of July 13th (advanced-competitive gymnasts only or consent); Week of August 10th.
