A new origin from the excellent maya mountain group that started out working with mayan cacao growers in belize. Maya mountain helps revive abandoned cacao farms and setup better than fair-trade relationships with the indigenous farmers there. This bar is made with cacao from the funda lachua coop that we selected as the best flavor among the guatemalan cacao coops. The guatemalan cacao has a bit of astringency with a deep nutty and chocolatey flavor true to the origins of chocolate in this area of the world, yet with a nice fruitiness overlaid, almost characteristic of hawaiian cacao.
Tealet's delicate green tea leaves are complimented with nutty roasted rice and blended into a velvety dark chocolate we grind from organic dominican coast cacao for a full dose of caffeine. An excellent morning chocolate bar!
Earl Grey Tea
Delicate green tea leaves from big island, hawai'i, the rarest tea in the world, are lightly cured and complemented with aromatic bergamot in a velvety dark chocolate we grind from hamakua coast cacao.
Coffee and Cardamom
Wake up and smell the chocolate! Crunchy bits of full bodied single origin organic peru coffee provide a counterbalance to the robust nutty pangoa, peru chocolate, complemented with aromatic cardamom to give you a great stimulating bar.
Cacao Nib Package
Large tin tie bag 4 oz. The fabled cocoa or cacao nib from which chocolate is made. You can spend these nibs, or crushed cacao beans, as currency like the maya did, enjoy their complex, nutty, fruity taste by themselves, or add them to smoothie and brownie recipes for a chocolatey surprise. The ground nibs mixed with spices even makes a great rub for grilling meats and veggies for a robust luscious flavor!
