Registration 2014 - 2015
All returning students should register as soon as possible, due to limited class size. Complete the registration form and return with fee of $25.00 to "Les Cher" 16903 Queen Anne Rd., Upper Marlboro, MD 20774. Tuition includes up to two weeks of snow days if needed. Payment is due the first class of the trimester. If your payment has not been received by the 3rd week of the trimester, a $25 late fee will be charged. Classes may be combined or canceled if there are less than 6 students. Classes will begin promptly at the scheduled times. Classes will begin Monday, September 8th and conclude May 22, 2015.
1st Trimester - Sept. 8 - Dec. 1

3rd Trimester - March 2 - May 22
Policy
Students arriving more than 15 minutes late will be observing rather than dancing to prevent possible injury.
Students interested in receiving private, or semi-private classes, must be attending our classes regularly.
Closings
We will follow Prince George's County school closings, early dismissals, and cancellation of evening activities due to inclement weather.

Tuition Rates Per Student For Each Trimester
Due 1st Class of Each Trimester. A 10% discount for siblings is offered on each trimester tuition. Tuition checks should be made out to "Les Cher". Please designate on check the student's full name and what the payment is for. Tuition is based on hours per week, per student. If your child takes two 112-hour classes, that is 3 hours.

Ballet is a fine art and requires a strong basic foundation.
The Cecchetti method is a graded system of classical ballet which takes the student from the first lesson to solo status. Examinations are offered to test the student's proficiency within each of the grades. The exams provide them with an opportunity to perfect their technique and the satisfaction of knowing they have accomplished this goal.
It is "Les Cher's" intent to provide this training through a progression of well-balanced technique classes.
Primary classes prepare students for the Grade I Cecchetti Syllabus. The approximate ages for Primary are 4-7 with one class per week.
As the students progress, more intricate patterns are taught in both syllabus classes and non-syllabus classes to develop their minds along with their bodies.
The repetition of syllabus is essential for muscle memory. Non-syllabus classes (supplementary to the grades) encourage students to learn new combinations quickly and apply this muscle memory. Preparatory/pointe classes are introduced when the student is physically ready to continue throughout their training.
Exam candidates are required to take a minimum of two classes per week and will be presented for an exam at the directors' discretion.
Private lessons may be available to supplement classes for the purpose of extra instruction.
Class Uniforms
All of these may be purchased at Dance Supplies, Etc. in Severna Park (410-647-8727), Footlights, in Frederick & Silver Spring (301-696-1558 & 301-326-4351); Les Gals, in Silver Spring (301-608-3237) and Posh Pirouettes in Crofton (410-721-0040); The only warm-ups permitted will be snug-fitting sweaters and leg warmers. For the girls, the class uniform consists of theatrical pink tights, pink shoes and following leotard:
