Gymnastics requires physical strength, flexibility, agility, coordination balance and grace.
As such, it is the foundation for all other sports. Our programs are designed to teach students in a safe, fun and encouraging environment. Students will be taught basic skills in a progressive manner while developing their general fitness and overall athletic ability. We strive to lay a foundation in gymnastics that will last a lifetime.

Info
Parent -Tots 18 Months to 3 Years parent participation
This is a Parent Participation class. At least one adult must attend. We emphasize fun and high-fives. Parents will be involved as an aid to the children as they develop the basics of rolling, jumping and climbing independently. In addition, the children are learning to watch, listen and follow basic directions.
Kindergym - 5-6 Years (Co-ed) & Kindertots 3-4
Our Kindergym program is a co-ed program and follows a curriculum designed to help the young child strengthen vital developmental skills. It is a structured class which helps the children learn basic skills on all the apparatus in the gym - vault, rings, bars, beam, floor and trampoline. We also incorporate motor development stations into the class to help our young champions practice their fine and gross motor skills through fun activities. If children are ready for an independent program, we will place them in a class that is appropriate to their age and level. We have a set curriculum of skills designated for Beginner and Intermediate and will only advance a child when we feel they are ready. It is crucial that children master important developmental skills to provide a strong foundation for any sports activity that they may pursue as they get older.
Developmental Gymnastics
We have a team developmental program for athletes as young as three who show a desire and talent for the sport. These boys and girls train in our outstanding Advanced Kindergym and Pre-team programs to prepare for future team placement. Participation in Advanced Kindergym and Preteam programs is by invitation or evaluation.
Recreation Gymnastics - 6 years and above.
Boys and Girls are Separated. Progress reports will be provided at the end of each session.
Beginner 1 hour
This is the beginning level at Legacy Elite Gymnastics. The recommended age is six years old (in first grade) and above. The gymnasts will learn basic tumbling skills (cartwheel) , pullover on the bars, vaulting approach and drills, and also the appropriate safety rules for each event. Boys will learn basics on p-bars, pommel horse and rings and girls will start learning basics on the beam as well.
Intermediate 1.5 hours
Students advance to Intermediate when all the basic skills for Beginner are mastered. Basic skills taught in this class are backbend kick-over on the floor, back-hip circle on the bars, handstand flat-back on vault (onto mats). Safety rules will continue to be stressed at this level.
Advanced 2 hours 1-2 days
This class is for gymnasts who have progressed beyond the beginner level. More time is allotted per event at this level, as students begin to learn more advanced skills on each event. Gymnasts (both boys & girls) will focus on more difficult skills on all apparatus.
