Permanent eyeliner can be anything from a very conservative lash line enhancement, a soft haze or a darker, more defined effect. The eyes are a beautiful and important feature of the face; and eyeliner can be used to emphasis their beauty. This procedure is good for those that have difficulty with makeup details due to movement or trouble seeing up close to apply eyeliner.
Permanent Lip liner or Full Lip Color
Permanent lip liner and color can give more fullness and definition to the mouth, as well as correct uneven lip lines and borders. It can even minimize the appearance of wrinkles. Pigments can create a more natural lip tone or a more visible lipstick looking color.
Beauty Marks
Adds permanent beauty marks to your skin quickly, painlessly and easy with permanent cosmetic tattooing! A nicely placed beauty mark can balance your facial features and fix the problem of a penciled mark smearing or wiping away.
Scars or Reconstructive Surgery
For those individuals that elect to seek services for the final reconstructive process for the breast, areola/nipple re-pigmentation can restore the final cosmetic effect of a more natural looking breast. Breasts that are void of a nipple tissue mound can be tattooed to closely resemble a projected 3-D like nipple and areola. Those with nipple reconstructions can be re-pigmented in the areola area accordingly. For those individuals that have elected for breast surgery such as implants or breast lifts in which light or white scars remain after healing, cosmetic tattooing of the tones similar to the surrounding skin can be preformed to decrease the appearance of scars. These treatments, done in phases 4 weeks between appointments, can be quite successful in diminishing these scars for women that are good candidates for camouflage tattooing techniques. With a consultation at our office, we can quickly determine if cosmetic tattooing is right for you. (Un-retouched Scar Camouflage area after only 1 treatment done at Le Beau Visage) Scars as a result of surgery or injury can often times be "camouflaged" and better blended to the surrounding skin with the introduction of skin colored pigments in to the scar area. Many times a great result can be obtained to reduce the appearance of the scar in the skin or scalp.
Eyelash Extensions
Eyelash extensions started in Asia and made their way west. Unlike traditional false eyelashes that only last one day and are applied on a strip, synthetic eyelash extensions are glued to eyelash hairs one by one with tweezers. Lash extensions are undeniably sexy, sensual and incredibly natural looking. Lash extensions are weightless, feel and look like real lashes. They are perfect for anyone who wants longer thicker, more defined eyelashes. Hollywood Divas like Oprah, Naomi Campbell, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Lucy Liu and Star Jones all wear lash extensions and have brought this new beauty staple to the mainstream. The lashes are made from synthetic material and are curved to make them look natural when applied. The polypeptide (building blocks of proteins) bonding agent bonds the synthetic lash to the natural lash and allows the lash to remain flexible.

Permanent cosmetics or makeup is a revolutionary method of applying colored pigments into the dermal layer of the skin.
This state of the art technique is medically proven and specifically designed to be completely safe for healthy individuals.
This process, also called dermagraphics or micropigmentation, is used for a variety of permanent cosmetic enhancements such as permanent eyebrows, eyeliner and lip liner or full lip color.
Other procedures include treating vitiligo (skin pigmentation conditions), scar camouflaging, areola restoration following breast surgery and more!
How are permanent cosmetics applied?
Most all permanent cosmetic procedures are done with a rotary tattoo machine. This kind of machine is delicate and detail oriented in order to work closely on the fragile tissues of the face. The pigment colors used resemble a fine powder which is mixed with a wetting agent (glycerin, distilled water and alcohol) which allows the pigment to be in liquid form and placed in the skin. The high quality needles used at Le Beau Visage, velvet needles, are used to implant the pigment color about 2-3mm below the skin, or about the thickness of a dime.
Will the procedure be uncomfortable?
Depending on the specific cosmetic procedure elected, various means of utilizing anesthesia (numbing) the skin are utilized. For eyebrow and eyeliner clients, a gel like numbing agent containing lidocaine and tetracaine are applied prior to the beginning and during each procedure. For lip procedures, the client has a choice of topical lip numbing cream or receiving a dental anesthesia block. With the dental block, both the upper and lower lips are completely numbed with a local anesthesia which lasts 2-3 hours. Clients at Le Beau Visage are fortunate to have the option for complete anesthesia, a service only provided by a handful of technicians nationwide which have a license to provide such services. Pain perception varies greatly between individuals, however, because of the benefit of anesthetics most clients report little to no pain with permanent make-up procedures. Keep in mind that the closer one is to menses, nicotine use, caffeine use, anxiety and other factors can influence how your body reacts to and perceives pain.
How do I decide on the color or design that is best for me?
As a technician for cosmetic tattooing, Michelle will work with you to choose a color that enhances your features, is appropriate for your skin complexion, and appears natural on you! You will be fully involved on where the colored pigments will be placed and everything will be finalized for your approval before the procedure begins.
How long does the procedure take?
Although the length of procedures will vary depending on several factors, most procedures take about 2 hours. It is usual to need 1-3 visits to achieve the final result.
Is it easy to remove the color if I change me mind or style?
Simply stated, no. Although lasers have aided greatly in the removal of brow and eyeliner pigments, lips do not generally lighten or remove. In the event of minor corrections, pigmentation technicians can adjust and camouflage areas. It is therefore recommended that you avoid trendy type cosmetic applications because the procedure is considered permanent.
What to Expect
It is important to have a consultation prior to having permanent cosmetics to discuss your lifestyle and expectations.
Immediately Following the Application
Most procedures will result in noticeable redness, possibly some mild swelling and some mild discomfort when the area is touched. The color will initially appear much bolder than the healed color.
up to One Week After Application
Any swelling and tenderness will be gone in the first couple days following your procedure. Some people may experience a light peeling and sloughing off of the skin and noticeable flakes of the pigment color on the skin. Some mild itchy can result, however you are encouraged to keep the area moist with the aftercare balm dispensed at your appointment to assist in healing and any potential side effects of healing. As the skin heals you will notice the color changing to a lighter and softer look.
One to Two Months Following Application
Healing is complete; depending on the type of procedure preformed and your medical condition, most procedures are considered completely healed in 30-45 days after application. Longterm it is recommended to protect your permanent make-up from the harmful UV of the sun to allow it the most successful opportunity for long retention without fading!
Permanent Eyebrows
This procedure can add fullness and definition to thin or sparse eyebrows or more commonly eyebrows in which the "tail" portion has just disappeared! Commonly at other salons eyebrows can be "tattooed" to look like a solid-filled penciled brow. At Le Beau Visage we most often place hair-stroke type eyebrows that simulate natural hairs. Permanent eyebrows frame your eyes and lend expression to your face and it is so important that they look natural! Those with alopecia (no eyebrow hair) are grateful for this "face defining" and time saving procedure.
