As well, while Saint-Aubin wines are rarely considered to be among the region's finest, they are known for offering excellent value for money and can provide a good introduction to Burgundy wines. These wines are produced in both dry and off-dry styles, and benefit from high mineral content in the tuffeau soils from which the vines grow. Tart tree fruit, lemon, chamomile, and ginger dominate the nose and palate. Wines from the Mosel are some of the most transparent wines in the world.
