Our chef Cassandra Cotoia recalls her earliest childhood memories of being in the kitchen and cooking with her Italian grandmother. Food was an integral part of her upbringing and she cherished her time in the kitchen learning new dishes and preparing food for her family and friends.We received the Best Restaurant Interior Award from Hudson Valley Magazine the year we opened in 2006. La Puerta Azul was designed by the award winning design firm of Glen & Co in New York. We worked closely with the company's founder Glen Coban to create a warm and festive environment. The open kitchen invites diners to peek inside, and a waterfall welcomes guests as they enter the restaurant.
