About Us
Established by Manuel and Nellie Amabisca, La Placita opened its doors on May 17th, 1962 and has served quality Mexican food to the residents of Buckeye, Arizona ever since. Manuel and Nellie developed the menu based on Amabisca and Valdez family recipes, many of which are still favorites on the current menu. The original building has been expanded and remodeled to accommodate more dining rooms, a lounge, an art gallery, and space for catered events. La Placita has withstood the test of time and will continue to be a Buckeye landmark and institution for generations to come.
