About Us
Since 1974, the Diaz family has been serving our unique version of Tex-Mex favorites. If care is taken in preparation, Mexican food can be a wonderfully nutritious cuisine- full of whole grains, legumes and fresh vegetables. We use absolutely no lard in our cooking, only pure peanut oil where needed. We serve natural whole grain brown rice prepared Spanish style. We use whole wheat and unbleached flours and only a moderate amount of sea salt, so that other flavors come through-flavors such as fresh garlic, herbs, beneficial spices and fresh peppers. We never add artificial flavor enhancers or preservatives.
We are vegetarian friendly offering Tofu as a delicious protein choice in our tacos, enchiladas and salads. Our pinto beans and whole grain rice are guaranteed Vegan. We also serve organic alfalfa sprouts, grown especially for us. Try them instead of lettuce!
