L Philippine Cuisine is a family owned business. Headed by our Mother, Eloisa, lovingly known as EL or Tita EL. The restaurant is named after Tita EL but to avoid any confusion we simplified the name to just the letter L. Philippine Cuisine is a broad variety of cooking style from numerous centuries of trade and migration; a fusion of Malay, Chinese, Spanish, and later American influences. You might recognize some of the names on our menu are in the language they are inspired by, such as Siopao & Lumpiang Shanghai (Chinese), Tocino (Spanish), Bistek “Beef Steak” (American), among a few. Filipino home cooked meals are a mixture of different spices and we like to use a lot of them. Since the Philippines consist of thousands of mini islands, its cuisine varies upon each regional palate.
