Duration: 1 hour; Free; The goals of krav maga are fighting and self-defense. Even the Israeli military relies on krav maga concepts for their ground training. During this martial arts class, begin by learning the fighting stances and movements, various punches, kicks from standing and ground positions, and how to work your elbows and knees. Whew. Did you get all of that? In addition to practicing attack maneuvers, you'll practice self-defense moves against punches, chokes, headlocks, and wrist grabs. No matter how an attacker comes at you, you'll have the perfect defense. You'll focus on learning to find the competitive advantage through the use of takedowns, joint-locks, and chokeholds. Sooner or later most fights end up on the ground, and this style will teach you to get there faster, and how to win when you are there. You'll receive your instruction from a martial artist trained in the sport, focusing on basics and fundamentals, and applying those techniques to live sparring practice. In addition to building the confidence that you can win any fight, you'll be getting a great workout, developing both your stamina and flexibility.
