Duration: 75 min; Free; Want to learn martial arts, but can't decide what style is right for you? This is your chance to participate in a free introductory class to see what Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is all about! BJJ utilizes a combination of hip takedowns and throws that turn your assailant's momentum to your favor, ensuring that no matter what size or weight advantage you may give up, you'll be in a position take your opponent to the ground. Once there, BJJ features an arsenal of techniques designed to win the ground game, including chokes and joint locks meant to immobilize. You'll receive your instruction from a martial artist trained in the discipline, who will focus on the fundamentals, and then teach you to apply those techniques to live sparring practice. In addition to building the confidence that you can win any fight, you'll be getting a great workout, developing both your stamina and flexibility.
