KBQ, the barbecue, is a line of smoked meats developed by food industry veteran Kerry Britt that includes ribs, beef brisket, pulled pork, chicken, hot country sausage, and fish including salmon, tilapia, catfish and more. KBQ, the place, is not your typical barbecue restaurant. KBQ is a neighborhood “joint” that reflects its founder’s culinary skill as well as his love for traditional jazz and old school funk music. The decorations feature album covers and music festival posters, and the soundscape is correspondingly jazzy and funky – and occasionally involves live musicians.
