KB Service and Amenities
KB Fitness offers a number services and amenities for your comfort, convenience & well-being. Our goal is to make each visit to our facility a pleasurable one.
Child Care/Nursery
You can maintain the fitness regimen a parent especially needs, and we'll take care of your children. We offer a safe, bright and spacious area for your children to play while you work out. Our child care area is staffed with trained personnel, and an atmosphere that promotes health, fitness and fun. $3 for 1 child; $5 for 2 children; $25 per month for 1 child unlimited usage; $40 per month for 2 children unlimited usage. Everyone must call or email to schedule their child in this program.
Personal Training
You don't have to be a seasoned athlete or bodybuilder to enjoy the benefits of a personal trainer. Personal training benefits both the person who has never worked out as well as professional athletes. Having a personal trainer can save you a lot of time, frustration and pain in your journey to achieve your health and fitness goals. Working one-on-one with our staff of certified, professional personal trainers will provide you with a highly efficient and more productive workout.
Senior Programs
Lower impact doesn't mean lower benefits! We offer fitness programs and classes specifically designed for seniors that can meet your needs through reduced impact activities. Our programs will help seniors improve cardiovascular health, flexibility, strength, stamina, balance and coordination. Men and women of all skill levels are encouraged to participate. Stay healthy and fit with us while making some new friends.
Fitness Evaluation
A general health assessment and fitness evaluation is offered to all of our members. A fitness evaluation determines the level of the five health-related fitness components which are body composition, flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, and aerobic capacity. Fitness improvement and maintenance is a key to longevity and quality of life. It is critical to understand your level of fitness before starting an exercise program.
Youth Programs
It's never too early to get fit and to develop healthy habits. We can be a part of your child's education. Our children's programs acquaint kids with the tenets of good health and fitness. They will learn games, sports, and fitness activities here which can stay with them for a lifetime. And best of all … it's a lot of fun!
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is an accepted part of many physical rehabilitation programs and is also one of the best antidotes for stress. It can relieve pain, help heal certain conditions, increase circulation and assist your body in maintaining a healthy balance. Professionally trained massage therapists are on staff and we offer a variety of massage therapy services.
Nutrition Counseling
Exercise is not always enough! If you need help with weight loss, high blood pressure or cholesterol or managing your diabetes, see one of our registered dieticians. Our staff is available to counsel you on ways to meet your nutritional needs and health goals. We offer education and counseling about healthy eating, preventive nutrition and lifestyle choices. Performance Training
Achieve the highest in sports performance enhancement with our club's approach to athlete preparation. Our highly qualified staff ensures success through state-of-the-art training equipment and programs. Our training programs also offer education in performance training. If you need to increase your endurance, speed, agility, power or body control when it comes to sports performance, our performance training is for you.
KB Programs & Classes
Members of a yoga studio have many reasons for their interest in this type of facility. Some are drawn to the physical fitness or weight-loss advantages. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives. Group Exercise
Do it in a group! The beauty of exercising to music with a group and being led by a group exercise leader is that you tend to work harder and longer than you would on your own. The support provided by classmates who share your quest for a better body and mind can hasten success for everyone involved. We offer programs for all fitness levels, join a class today!
Pilates Reformers
Joseph Pilates designed the Pilates Reformers to help those who had an injury and needed rehabilitation before moving into a Mat Pilates class. The reformer machine moves your joints through a complete range of motion; essentially working the muscle from the inside out. Unlike selectorized weight lifting machines which works the muscles from the outside. Lastly, and the most important benefit, is that we have 7 pilates reformer beds. The benefit to each client is that it's easy to get into a class. And KB offers a wide variety of days and times to help accommodate everyone's schedule. Drop-in Members may book a Pilates Reformer class 2 days prior to the class. Monthly members who have the Pilates Reformer classes included with their membership set their scheduled classes upon joining. We require 24 hour notice to cancel a Pilates Reformer class. A $25 cancellation fee will be charged for last minute cancellations or "no-shows".
Dance Classes
Dancing can burn as many calories as walking, swimming or riding a bicycle. It also provides cardiovascular conditioning, which can lead to a slower heart rate, lower blood pressure and an improved cholesterol profile. And dancing contains a social component that solitary fitness endeavors don't! Whether you have two left feet or just want to learn a few steps, we have a class for you.
KB Free-Style
For those who don't want a formal class format and would like to have the opportunity to come in and work-out on their own. The studio is available 6 days per week at designated times for client to take advantage of working out on their own. There will be a staff person trainer available to assist with any of the exercises. You must have a "Free-style Membership" to use the studio during these times. Martial Arts
Martial arts are practiced for health and fitness, sport, law enforcement, spiritual benefits as well as for self-defense. Our martial arts programs will challenge your muscles, coordination, balance, cardiovascular system and mind. Our classes combine an aerobic workout while teaching self-defense.
Pilates
This class offers you a body balancing system that strengthens, lengthens, realigns and defines your body. Pilates is an exercise-based system that aims to develop the body's "centre" in order to create a stable core for all types of movement. Eventually the body will move with maximum efficiency and minimum effort. Postural changes as well as increased flexibility are only a few of the benefits Pilates provides.
Body Sculpting/Weight Training
Body Sculpting includes muscle strengthening and endurance workouts for all the body's major muscle groups. Because there is no dancing, jumping, stepping, or choreography to learn, body sculpting is ideal for those who dislike or can not perform high impact workouts. Body sculpting also helps to prevent osteoporosis by increasing one's bone density. Our instructors will teach proper form while leading you to a more toned and defined body.
Yoga Classes
Yoga provides many physical and mental benefits, including improved physical fitness, mental clarity, stress control and general well-being. Yoga also increases strength by toning the muscles. Each class is designed to build the student's strength and flexibility and inspire peace and tranquility. Yoga class is a place and time to concentrate on yourself, to workout, relax, breathe, and feel all sensations in your body and let go of tension.
Cardio Kickboxing
Kick and punch your way to fitness! Our workout is designed for cardiovascular and muscle endurance and combines aerobics and body toning while learning self-defense. Our classes blend boxing, martial arts, and sports conditioning drills. With music and the energy of a group fitness setting and it's a fast paced, fun packed workout!

Through extensive training, certification and dedication, our staff has attained mastery in their fields and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to our members. Here are a few of KB Fitness's staff members:
Kathy Burgett (Owner/Personal Coach)
KB has been teaching/coaching exercise and healthy lifestyle habits since 1978. KB graduated from Washburn University in 1982 with a degree in Phys. Ed. with emphasis in dance and coaching. She received her ACE Personal Training Certification in 1992; an ACE Nutritional Certification in 1996; and has continued to develop her knowledge with a numerous certifications throughout the years with all the hottest and latest trends in the fitness arena. KB currently teaches Cardio Kickboxing, Body Sculpting, Power Yoga, Pilates Reformer Classes as well as the Yoga/Pilates Fusion Classes at her studio. In addition, KB develops fitness programs for various corporations in the community and teaches on-site at those facilities as well. Recently moving KB Fitness Studio into a brand new location, KB is excited to be in the Blossom Valley Community and looks forward to helping those who live and work in the area find a comfortable place to meet other neighbors, exercise, and have fun at the same time.

Isidro Corona (Montuno Salsa Dance Professional)
Isidro J. Corona Is the Director and Founder of Montuno Dance Company for which he has choreographed works that have been performed at Salsa Congresses around the country. The company is currently comprised of three teams for which Isidro is the lead Instructor. Isidro received international recognition when he became a finalist at the ESPN World Salsa Championships three years in a row (2005-2007), with his then partner, Sheila Zepeda. Together they won 1st place at the International West Coast Salsa Congress in the Professional On 1 Division in 2006 and 2007. Within that partnership, Isidro evolved his unique style of fast-paced and intricate salsa partnering. His salsa training also includes instruction under Junior and Emily Alibi of Amicitia Dance Company and Ricardo Sanchez and Michelle Castro of PB&G Dance Productions. While dancing with PB&G, Isidro performed at international venues including Berlin, Paris and the United Kingdom. As an amateur competitor, he also won the San Francisco International Salsa Congress competition. Isidro is a San Francisco Bay Area local and before discovering dance, he was an avid athlete, playing basketball and baseball around the Bay Area which contributes to his athletic and energetic style. He seeks out ways to give back to his community through dance, performing and teaching at various community events, including the National Community Development Association annual convention at which he and his partner were invited to perform by San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom's office.

Brandon Filipowicz first studied Yoga at the South West Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, Arizona at the 200 hour level under Master Teacher Laura McKinzie. However, his thirst for wisdom was not satisfied and shortly after he set off for India in search of truth, and Yoga. He spent 10 months wandering around India in search of healing and wisdom, encountering many Spiritual Masters from various traditions along the way. He completed his Certification in Yogic Therapy at the Yoga Vidya Dham in Nasik, India as well as completing a Course in Bhagavad Gita Philosophy. He has recently returned with the goal in his heart of selflessly sharing the wisdom and love he had attained from his wanderings to all. He uses his knowledge of Yoga Therapy and philosophy in his classes to ensure that strain is always avoided, and maximum healing takes place physically and mentally. "Serve, Love, Give."
