A fresh look for your pet, with love. From a very young age, I have been working with dogs. I am an only child, but my life changed forever when my dad brought home Sandy, an 8-week-old Collie puppy. Sandy became my new best friend, and I instantly fell in love with dogs. My mother, Mavis Rose, was nationally recognized for her contribution to breeding and showing of dogs with a national memorial trophy awarded in her honor. Our interest in animals truly runs in the family. I spent summer months during my youth working for Morel's dog training and spent time at various kennels in the area, as well.

Originally from the northeast, David started his first career in hair cutting and as a barber stylist in Cleveland, Ohio. After twenty-five years of experience as a salon owner (and one winter snow too many), David set out on his next life path. Vacationing and enjoying the southwest desert sun prompted a new focus and a big move to the desert and flashing lights of Las Vegas. There David started a new direction working in the casino gaming industry, and with 15 years of experience in marketing, guest services, and more, David has made many friends in the Valley area. There would be one more shift for David, driven by his love of animals. Seeking out a grooming academy, David has said, "Just looking into the soulful eyes of a senior dog, or the boundless energy of a trusting puppy, has made this career move the most meaningful of all to me. I hope every guest, four-legged and two-legged, feels the warmth and sincerity in which Rick runs his salon. I am happy to be a part of it."
Don't let Christian's youth influence you. I was introduced to Christian some years ago when he was hired as my bather as he was just turning 17. I know most people do not have that special combination of personality traits necessary to become a good and compassionate groomer so I was not easy on him. It was through time and his dedication that I began to see his gentleness with the pets and his continued improvement of his grooming skills. He is classified as a groomer's assistant at this time, however, with his ability, in time he will become a very good groomer.
No question about it, Steven is a cat person. It's his love of cats that has led him to the position of the CATamaran Cruise Director. Well, perhaps the Captain, Activities Director, and whatever else the need may be.
What Do Expect
We are very proud of our new facility. The shop was designed with the pets' comfort in mind. The shop is like two businesses in one. The cats are totally separated from the dogs. The cats eve have their own bathing area. We call the cat areas The CATamaran. The Dog Finish grooming area is also separated from all other areas (including the dog holding area). We did this so that both the finish groomers and the dogs being groomed are not disturbed by comings and goings as often happens in most shops.
Much of our pet accessories are provided by Spoiled Dog Designs. We are very lucky to have Patt of Spoiled dog Designs providing and managing our pet accessories. Patt is a Pet Apparel designer with designs provided for National Geographic's special.
Grooming with comfort and love
Pet grooming is much more invovled than getting one's own hair done. In particular, scheduling is a complicated process. The basic plan of scheduling is hands-on all pets (each and every one) in the morning, brushing out, doing nails, doing ears, doing the rough-in trimming before the bath and dry. It's done this way so we, the groomers, can spot any time-consuming problems (e.g. matting), thus allowing us to schedule the afternoon finish work efficiently. Many people prefer that their pets spend as little time as possible away from home. When making an appointment, a time for pickup can be scheduled, depending on what is available and possible. In this way, we can accommodate as much as we possibly can, those who wish a short day. Many others prefer their pet spend the day. That's okay too.

Felines are welcome to spend a night or as long as their home staff is away. Ask about our family rates and extended stay rates.
