Every one is unique in what makes a bodywork session just right for them. Some may want deep tissue in just a specific problematic area with soothing relaxation massage for the majority of the session. Just 10 minutes of lymphatic drainage at the end of a session can help unclog sinus congestion and decrease puffiness in the face after a relaxing massage. Integrating modalities to meet the client's needs for the exceptional experience and outcome.
Bodywork for Breast Cancer Survivors
is integrative bodywork that may include some or all of the above therapies, addressing constrictions and discomfort due to surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. As a cancer survivor myself, I am familiar with the aftermath of cancer treatment and how hard it can be to regain comfort and mobility in the affected area. Breast cancer survivors are in a unique place in the healing process because their bodies can greatly benefit from bodywork, but they are also at risk of having or worsening lymphedema due to lymph nodes being removed at the time of breast surgery. With attention to each client's unique experience, and care to the affected sites, discomfort and movement constrictions may safely be addressed for better strength, range of motion, and comfort.

What Clients Say
Wonderful lymphatic massage.
I think it's doing wonders for my immune system, not to mention digestion issues and just plain mental health.
Amy
Julie gives an amazing massage. Thorough, with the perfect touch.
Marilyn
So relaxing. She asks what I need and then she proceeds to give exactly that. I always book my next before I leave.
Patricia Meyer, LMT
Julie Decker, LMT is not only a skilled massage therapist, but also a dear friend who, like me, is a breast cancer survivor. I know that she understands my scar tissue issues and lymphedema potentials. She finds my aches and pains and leaves me feeling relaxed and refreshed. It's important to me to know that she will be effective in her treatment yet not be so deep that I will be in pain after the massage. I would recommend Julie to anyone wanting to relieve stress and feel their best pain free self.

Julie, thank you for relaxing me like you did. It is hard to just let go and your calm, unhurried nature as well as your long, conscious strokes always do that for me. Not too hard, not too soft...somehow you've got it just right for me. See you soon.
