About Us
Jim Hazard
Jim Hazard Chiropractic & Sports Medicine embraces a mission of generating positive press for the chiropractic profession and increasing public awareness to the many benefits associated with chiropractic care.
Dr. Jim Hazard is a Santa Barbara County native.
He attended elementary and junior high schools in the Santa Barbara area and graduated from Santa Ynez Valley Union High School in 1986.
After graduating from Cuesta Community College in San Luis Obispo, Dr. Hazard transferred to Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California where he graduated in 1992.
Dr. Hazard returned to Santa Barbara County to begin his chiropractic career in Santa Barbara and Solvang with the Santa Barbara Chiropractic & Sports Medicine Clinic. Dr. Hazard began his own practice- Jim Hazard Chiropractic & Sports Medicine Clinic- in 1995. He is a member of the California Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Hazard is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician
and has been a field doctor for the Santa Ynez High School Football team and the Amateur Volleyball Association tournaments, and a current doctor for the American Youth Soccer Organization in the Santa Ynez Valley.
Dr. Hazard specializes in sports injuries as well as pediatric and family chiropractic.
All three of Dr. Hazard’s children have been adjusted within minutes of their birth and make weekly visits to his office. In addition to pediatric chiropractic, Dr. Hazard frequently adjusts the mother throughout their entire pregnancy. While he doesn’t use the specific Webster method, his success rate for turning breeched babies is 100% with chiropractic care.
Dr. Hazard also has extensive experience with personal injuries (including auto accidents) and workers compensation injuries and with all major insurance companies.
When Dr. Hazard is not busy working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters- Jordyn (age 8), Keira (age 6) and Devyn (age 4). They frequently can be found doing a variety of activities including soccer, softball, hiking, yoga, playing at the beach and anything else his daughters can convince him to do!
