Most people can’t wait to retire. After a forty-five year career working as the owner/operator of a precision machine shop, John Perrotto thought he was one of them. But when the time came, John realized that retirement isn’t for everyone. He wanted to get back out there and do something he truly enjoyed this time around. When the restaurant formerly known as Venue 56 (named for its LIE exit) became available, John decided to rise to the challenge of taking on another business. Now he’s the proud owner and operator of Janine’s Restaurant of Hauppauge and has no intention of retiring again any time soon. The patrons of his new eatery couldn’t be happier. Named for his daughter, Janine’s Restaurant is just celebrating its grand opening and already it’s a favorite around town. In addition to its warm and inviting atmosphere, delicious food and impressive service, it has a popular happy hour from 4pm to 7pm in their spacious lounge with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drink specials, live music on Fridays, Karaoke on Tuesdays and catering for all occasions.
