asthanga is the system of yoga taught by sri k. pattabhi jois at the ashtanga yoga research institute in mysore, india. this method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with progressive series of postures - a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. the result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.
an ancient art of body therapy for healing, health and transformation, thai massage is an interactive manipulation of the body using passive stretching and gentle pressure along energy lines. the effect is uniquely relaxing as well as energizing. receiving a thai massage is a bit like doing yoga without putting forth any effort while also getting acupressure treatments!
Deep Tissue Massage
deep tissue massage consists of slower strokes and more pressure. the therapist targets deeper muscle groups after first warming the soft tissues. therapists also use deep-tissue massage to help break up scar tissue.
