On March 2nd 2009 IVY opened its doors inviting guests into an atmosphere best described as "Casual Elegance". The name comes from the fact that the entire building, located in beautiful historic downtown Wheaton at 120 N.Hale is covered with lush green ivy. The historic building was built as a chapel in 1928, owners Dick and Carol O'Gorman along with General Manager Jason Sandquist, and partners Mark and Vicki Nelson have utilized the beauty and historic architecture of the building to create unique dining experience. By incorporating the beautiful stained glass windows and commanding cathedral ceiling, they have turned all aspects of this majestic interior into an absolute perfect backdrop for Executive Chef Brian Goewey's creative dishes. Chef Brian's creativity, attention to detail, and consistency will make you want to re-visit us again and again.
Great appetizers (black pepper shrimp), pastas, steaks, chops and seafood cover just about everyone's dining wants and desires. Along with our main floor seating is the offer of two distinctive rooms seating up to 50 guests that can accommodate just about any event from wedding rehearsal dinners to graduations. Our French doors spill out onto our beautiful ivy covered patio, perfect for listening to live music in the evenings or meeting up with friends for a quiet lunch. Ivy can just about compliment any event.
