Istanbul Grill was established in 2010 in the historic Tremont neighborhood at the south end of Professor, near the St. Teodosious Church and Lucky's Cafe. The building used to be the Hotz Valley View Cafe and still has the 16-foot wooden bar from the original establishment. With the strength and support of the neighborhood, we renovated the building in 8 months and are now able to serve all the greatest tastes of the Turkish Peninsula.
Chef Sonmez is from the Elazig region of Turkey. His menu and weekly specials include many Turkish favorites such as Iskender, Manti, Fillet Mignon Shish Kebab, Lamb Shank, Stuffed Cabbage, Liver & Onions, Kofte, and his famous appetizers. Some of his vegetarian dishes include the Sheppard salad, Sigara Borek, Ezme, Dolma, Okra Stew, Veggie Shish-Kebab, Lentil soup, and Falafel.
