Custom Framing
Preservation Framing
We recommend Preservation Framing (commonly called conservation framing) standards for anything that can not be easily replaced. These items might include but not limited to: original art, limited edition prints, antique objects, photos without negatives, or fabric art. Preservation framing uses all conservation materials which will preserve the framed article in the same condition as when it was placed in the framing package. Our professional custom framers ensure that your art is both beautifully framed and well preserved for years to come.
Shadowbox Framing
What can be framed? The answer is anything! And we have framed just about everything! Shadowbox framing is a way to preserve those objects that are special to you in a manner that allows you to display them for everyone to enjoy. As with any fine art, preservation standards are applied as called for in shadowbox framing. At Irving Park Art & Frame we have done many shadowboxes and always love to hear the stories that go with the objects that are left in our care. We have framed musical instruments, clothing, guns, bridles, bits, motorcycle parts, artificial hip components, keys, money, sports memorabilia, military memorabilia and much more. In addition, we offer North Carolina made flag frames for displaying all types and sized flags.
Needlework and Textiles
Here at Irving Park Art & Frame, we frame many types of needlework and textiles. Needlepoint, cross stitch, crewel embroidery, cutwork and different fabrics with the various decorative touched applied, all of which require some preparation of the piece before it is framed. Some of the needlework has been done by the customer, requiring many hours of painstaking stitching, while some of the pieces are extremely old samplers that are very delicate. The oldest piece of needlework that we had the privilege of framing was dated June 1774. Having both an avid needle worker and a graphic artist who majored in textiles on staff, we feel that we are the perfect framers for your needlework or fabric project.
