My Story

Having it All... with A Lot More 'Happy'

Here is my story...maybe you'll find some similarities with your life story. Ultimately, I share how I went from achieving my goals with hard work and struggle to having it all with a lot more happy.

My Beginning

I'm Rosie Guagliardo, a beauty-seeking, lover of life, (wearing "Rosie-colored" glasses) Italian-American who is pragmatic, purposeful, and goal-oriented.

This dichotomy has always been who I am. However, for many years of my life, I realized I wasn't really allowing my whole self to fully shine through...parts of this woman would come out in a measured way at the "right time" or with the "right people."

Some could have said I was "highly self-aware."

Honestly, looking back, I would say I was worrying that I wasn't good enough for anyone.

All of the Hard Work

Instead, I was hiding parts of myself showing up as somewhat fragmented and continuing to play this juggling act. This left me exhausted, tense, anxious and always thinking, I'll be happier when I have...

A loving husband

A fun & successful career

A thriving family

The list could go on

Yet, I didn't give up.

The Pay Off (Maybe)

Flash forward a few years...my 'hard' work had finally paid OFF.

New, different goals this time, like a fit body, that next promotion and more love from my husband!

Why Hard Work Doesn't Work

More than ever, I thought I had to work even harder to get anything I desired. I was in constant "survival" mode trying to get everything done. And, I wasn't really experiencing what I dreamed to have in my life, nor did it feel easy, joyful, or graceful. Additionally, I realized:

I didn't even know what I wanted or who I REALLY was ( I was still hiding parts of myself)

I was expecting others to know and live up to my expectations I had of them (all to make me feel happy)

I kept over-engineering my life situations (with the hope that when I had everything perfect, I could live my life with ease and grace)

I was not tuning into my own gifts and talents nor those of others (this left me without the clues to realize my life vision)

So...Life was whizzing past me fast!

I knew something had to change because I couldn't sustain this way of living.

It was time for me to take FULL responsibility for making myself happier.

What Does Work

I set out on a path...

I deeply explored what I really wanted

I began embracing who I was completely (the "good" and the "bad")

I started showing up as and sharing the REAL ME

my strengths, what's important to me, what I hold back/repress, and my deepest wishes

I stopped resisting and over-engineering and trusted that all the things I didn't need would fall away

And, last but certainly not least...I began looking for perfection (the beauty, the lesson) in me, relationships

and in every moment, knowing that life is happening now and that my circumstances will never be just 'perfect' or just 'right'.

As I let go of my grip on life.

As I let go of my grip on life (i.e., 'trying' to lose weight, to be perfect or feel fulfilled in my job, with my marriage, in my body, etc.)...it all started to happen, naturally and organically.

The Real Payoff

My ideal life was unfolding before me. And, it was different this time...

I had a relaxed confidence.

I was happier every single day.

I was more of the REAL me.

It was an easier path that allowed me to really attract the life I desired...all with ease and joy.

Now, I have a clear vision for my life and don't need to force fit the pieces to let my vision unfold.

I can trust it'll all come to pass as it should and that every opportunity presented to me is an opportunity to learn and take my next "right" step in life. I'm grateful the REAL me has created a career I love, a home that is welcoming, relationships that buoy me, and love that lights me up!
