Although my clients' main goal is to have their computers repaired, sometimes they also ask me questions while I'm doing the repairs, and I find myself tutoring them. As a result, the more they know about their computer, the less likely they will have to call me in the near future for a repeat visit.
Remote Computer Repairs
As long as you can access the Internet I can repair your computer remotely. We just make an appointment, and at the appointed time I will call you, and you can watch me repair your computer.

Malwarebytes Has a New Look:
If you have updated your copy of Malwarebytes lately you may have noticed it has a new look and feel. It is actually easier to use now. If you have any questions just let me know.
If you are still using a computer that is running Windows XP you are probably starting to see a little message pop up stating that Microsoft will no longer be providing support in the form of Windows updates after April 8th. This will leave your system vulnerable to security threats if you are still accessing the Internet. To access the Internet safely, you must upgrade your computer to Windows 7 or purchase a computer that runs Windows 8 so you can receive Windows updates. You cannot upgrade a Windows XP computer to Windows 8. I have been setting up Windows 8 computers by transferring files from the original computer, streamlining the system for ease of use, providing antivirus protection and tutoring to help my clients get off to a good start. I have also been upgrading Windows XP computers to Windows 7. They have to have 2GB of memory to work efficiently. Please let me know if you would like me to perform these services for you.
I don't have many problems using computers, but settings, downloading, software, hardware issues, etc. overwhelm me. Jim came in, cleaned up my computer, corrected issues, and installed security software. More than that, he made me feel comfortable and I knew he was someone I could trust. He was completely professional. When I went to a wireless system, Jim installed my network. Along the way, he taught me about computers and made me feel much more at ease. I appreciate his email newsletters and tips so much. Even though he's moved, I know he is still availabe to help me with my computer - in fact, he already has. He has my highest recommendation and I so appreciate all he has done to help me. Sheila D., South Carolina
On an evening in December, my PC was having troubles. I was unable to connect to the web effectively. The problem continued the next day. I tried the few things I knew about to try to resolve the problem, but nothing worked. I thought I might take the computer into one of the local shops; I've had some luck with that in the past. But that involves a lot of activity: disconnecting the computer, transporting it to the shop, explaining the problem (hopefully effectively), leaving the computer to be picked up at a later date, transporting it back home, and reconnecting it. Then I had a brainstorm! Why not have an expert come to my house to diagnose the problem and resolve it. So I went to the Yellow Pages and made a selection pretty much at random. Fortunately I chose In-Home PC Repairs. I was surprised that Jim was able to come to my house that very day. After he arrived, we sat down together as he proceded to resolve all the problems the computer was displaying. He also installed some free software. I saw what he was doing and got some tips from him on how to avoid future problems. And his price was very reasonable. I recommend his services to anyone who is having PC problems.
