About Us
Originally located in the New York capital of Albany, this 1940's DeRaffele Diner was moved several ties during the past 60 plus years. It operated under various names such as Little Nick's, Carol's and Wolff's Dinner while located within a 50 mile radius in the state of New York. In October 2004, the vintage diner was scheduled to be demolished at its suburban Stillwater location. A crew from Cristo Wrecking was contracted and moved large bulldozers and backhoes on site. The American Diner Museum of Providence, Rhode Island stepped into action. News of the diner's peril circulated among diner enthusiasts via the internet with a last ditch effort to locate an interested buyer. In a final act of desperation, Ebay was utilized to spread the word. With only a few days left before the demolition date, the diner was purchased by Eric Schulte and moved to a crane yard in Lancaster, Pennsylvania for safe keeping.
