This yoga practice releases deep tensions along the core of your body. The tensions along the core of your body limit your flexibility, strength, mental focus and presence of being.
The Svaroopa yoga experience includes a guided awareness (fully supported in Shavasana, yoga's relaxation pose) at the begining and end of each class. In between we do poses specifically to release and open your spine, this "core opening" balances all the systems of your body and balances all your energies, which in turn simultaneously quiets your mind and you experience inner peace. Along with this tangible effect on your mind, your body becomes supple and flexible and your muscles and bones become stronger.
