Digital Photography 101 - The Infamous Manual Mode
$60.00
After the class, you will feel more comfortable setting your camera into manual and control the outcome of your photography. Have you taken pictures in Aperture-Priority or Shutter-Priority, but never really made the transition to "Manual"? Do you like the idea of being in full control of your camera and your images (and not the camera being in control!)? Have you thought about taking pictures in the infamous manual mode, but were too scared of all the buttons and settings that you needed to think about? Then this 2 hour "Digital Photography 101 - The Infamous Manual Mode" workshop in Central Park is for you! In this class, we will first review the main aspects of the different exposure modes, their main usage and then make the switch to that scary "M" on your mode dial. We will walk through parts of the southern section of Central Park and have plenty of time to practice in manual. Your images will be reviewed and you'll be provided with any possible guidance. In order to take this workshop, you should have either taken my class "Digital Photography 101 - Master your Camera" or you should know how to shoot in the semi-automatic "Aperture-priority" or "Shutter-priority" modes. This is not a class for beginners. You should also have and bring a camera with a mode dial, that let's you set different shooting modes, such as "Automatic" (P), "Aperture-priority" (A or Av), "Shutter-priority" (S or Tv) and "Manual" (M). For those of you that want to get the full deal, this workshop is offered on the same day as the "Digital Photography 101 - Master your camera", as it serves as a prerequisite for this class. Please bring your camera (DSLR or Point&Shoot with different shooting modes) and the lenses you regularly use (only applicable for DSLR's) and charged batteries and memory cards with sufficient free space. No tripod or other equipment will be needed. We are going to meet on the north side of Pulitzer Fountain (59th Street and 5th Ave., between the Plaza Hotel and 5th Ave.). The instructor is 6'6" tall and will carry an olive-green camera backpack to be recognized.
