I also trained at the White Lotus Foundation, www.whitelotus.org, Santa Barbara, California, completing the requirements to be a Certified Yoga Teacher.

I am a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner
registered with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (A.A.D.P.) as well as a member of the International Health Coach Association (I.H.C.A.).
In my previous career, I was a Human Resource Professional and am thrilled to continue to be a "human resource" by helping people live their best life!
My Training
I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition's cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program.
During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods
with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health.
Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.

My Approach
I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected.
Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.
My approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins.
It is not to create lists of restrictions or good and bad foods. Instead, I work with my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and rewarding.
Together we’ll work to reach your health goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep, and maximizing energy.

The concept of bio-individuality is that each person has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background. I use a personalized, holistic approach to ensure that you will have great success!
Primary Food
It’s easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. It’s not just the food we eat, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and a spiritual awareness are essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary. I will support you in achieving all of your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life.
Integrative Nutrition Plate
The Integrative Nutrition Plate emphasizes the importance of local and organic produce, whole grains, high-quality proteins, plant-based fats, and water. It shows you how a plate should appear at mealtime and emphasizes the importance of proportions and portion size. To complete the picture, the plate is surrounded with lifestyle factors that create optimal health: relationship, career, physical activity and spirituality. I’ll introduce you to some of the healthiest foods on the planet and teach you how to find what’s healthiest for your unique body!

Yoga is for every body, mind and spirit. Cats and dogs stretch regularly. We all need to stretch our bodies, to increase our flexibility, strength and balance. Lessons can be arranged in the privacy of your own home or bring a group of friends together to learn about the health benefits of yoga. Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule a health coaching session you may do so up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment with no penalty by calling 1-810-429-0728. If you have an emergency where you are unable to meet for your scheduled session please call the same number. If you reserve a coaching session and don’t show up without canceling your reservation, you will be charged for the session.

My training at the White Lotus Foundation, Santa Barbara, California was life changing.
I experienced living Yoga for 16 days, sleeping in a yurt with 2 new friends in a beautiful canyon, being part of a community of 30 like minded, supportive, loving students aged 18 to 65 with exceptional teachers and had amazing organic, vegetarian meals. My system never worked so well and felt so good. I was concerned about keeping up physically as well as mentally BUT I DID IT!! They did work us hard daily physically with lots of homework; practice teaching, etc. The picture of me beside the Ganesha's elephant head is widely revered as the Remover of Obstacles and more generally as Lord of Beginnings. I had just completed my 16 day immersion teacher training to return home to begin the requirements of practice teaching which I completed in one year. My new beginning which is now evolving into being a health coach.
I am now teaching yoga, Hatha yoga, Vinyasa flow yoga; creative sequences at various levels.

It was so beautiful to see them sitting cross legged. When asked to sit up straight they grew several inches and their hearts shone. They were so keen to learn and worked hard to do the postures (asanas) demonstrated.
Yoga in ancient times evolved from watching animals stretching; visualize a cat or dog stretching.
We too need to stretch and breathe. Our breath is our life force.

Siva Pranayama, Simple Breath Meditation calms and centers the mind, balances your energy and strengthens, tones and builds your lung capacity, creating a greater vitality. Sit comfortably on a chair or on the floor with a cushion to elevate your hips, back straight and shoulders relaxed. Close your eyes, inhale for a 5 to 10 count using your natural breath or Ujjayi (in and out through your nose), hold your breath for an equal amount of time ensuring your lungs are comfortably full and exhale for the same count. Repeat for 10 to 20 rounds. Keep your attention on the sound of your breath, try to create a smooth, rhythmic flow. Namaste.

Yoga is an ageless, timeless, holistic health system that teaches that the years after midlife are a time of greater perspective and illumination rather than deterioration. The word yoga comes from a Sanskrit root that means yoke, unite, or make whole. A yoga pose or posture is known by the Sanskrit term asana. When we practice yoga asanas, we position the body in various standing, lying-down, upside-down, or seated postures. Yoga postures are one of yoga’s most significant and practical tools for integrating all aspects of a human being body, mind, and spirit. Even though yoga has entered the fitness mainstream, its full potential as a preventive and rehabilitative component in holistic, cutting-edge gerontology is just beginning to be explored. Medical research on aging has clearly shown that without proper exercise the body contracts and we lose height, strength, and flexibility. Movement lubricates our muscles, ligaments, and joints. Stretching daily prevents stiffening, the first visible sign of premature aging. Yoga postures promote healthy aging by lengthening the spine, opening our posture and moving each joint in the body through its full range of movement.
