Workforce Readiness Training
I began my journey to cosmetology in June of 2011. During my 14 month experience at Harmon's Beauty School I not only learned the basic skills of cosmetology I also had the privilege of learning advance techniques as well. I was fortunate enough to have amazing teachers who understood the importance of work force training as well as state board preparation. Attending Harmon's Beauty School was one of the best decisions I could make before starting my career because after graduating I not only left with advanced technical skills and knowledge, but also a strong support system. I had built a foundation. Ms.G'Marie went above and beyond to share her journey so that us students could avoid making career-costing decisions in the future. I passed my State Board Examination in October of 2012 and started my current job at Hair Cuttery in Brandywine, MD in November 2012. I applied online to Hair Cuttery and with the referral from Ms.G I received the job as a stylist in no time. Harmon's provides job placement for students and opportunities for students to build to their creative resume by attending hair shows and participating in local events. Ms.G is an amazing mentor to me and I still look up to her for career related advice to this day. I am the stylist I am today because of my passion for hair and my strong foundation. My name is Jasmen Butler and I am a graduate of Harmon's Beauty School.
