Harmon’s Beauty School has been teaching cosmetology for over 40 years. This 1500 clock hour program is approved by Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC). MHEC is a state government organization that has the responsibility to approve post-secondary education for private career schools. The school is approved by the State Approving Agency to offer training to veterans and other eligible dependents under the VA educational benefit programs. Harmon’s is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS). The membership of Harmon’s Beauty School in the American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS) fosters Harmon’s commitment to educational excellence. AACS specializes in updating its members with information about new teaching methods, equipment, products, current industry events and Washington, DC legislative updates. Most updating is done through a series of seminars, conferences and conventions held throughout the year.
