Welcome to Harding Pheasant, Chukar and Quail Gamebird Preserve of Northwest Missouri. We have plenty of Ringneck Pheasant, Bobwhite Quail and Chukar and are looking for avid hunters who love a good hunt. Please feel free to bring your birddog along for these gamebird hunts. Since we are a family run operation located in the heart of the Midwest, you are assured to have our fullest attention during hunts on our Missouri Hunting Land.

Our Northwest Missouri Ringneck Pheasant, Turkey, Deer, Chukar and Bobwhite Quail Preserve has plenty of room for everyone to hunt on our Gamebird Preserve.

In our Pheasant, Deer, Turkey, Chukar and Quail gamebird preserve there are a variety of different hunting experiences waiting to happen

with brush piles, ditches, CRP fields, timber, pastures, fence lines, light brush and crop fields awaiting your Missouri Huntingparty. This type of variety ensures that you can get the exact Missouri Hunting experience that you want. Our shooting area on our Missouri Hunting Land, gives the pheasant, chukar and quail the type of cover they need to give you and your hunting party the hunt you deserve . Also, this is a great place to train a new dog, brush up on your current birddog's experience, go Pheasant Hunting in Missouri or to simply enjoy hunting with "old faithful".

Birds

Old fashion pheasant hunts, quail hunts, chukar hunts.

No bag limits. Priced per bird. Field is yours all day or until you shoot the birds that you have paid for. You must have hunt with a dog. If you do not have dog then we have guides/dog available for a fee.

No gun charge, field charge, or membership fees.

We have 12 fields ranging from 25 acres to 100 acres of grass and CRP with milo food plots scattered over the areas.

The areas are stripped mowed every 30 feet for ease of walking.

Archery deer hunts in season (includes the opportunity to shoot one buck, one doe, and two turkeys)

Rifle deer hunts in season (includes one buck or one doe or both for addition cost)

Turkey hunts in season.

We encourage family hunting by keeping our prices low and no hidden cost.

Heated cleaning station for you to clean your birds and dress your deer.

Café in town (1.4 miles) to stop and eat dinner if you care to or there are tables and chairs in office if you want to bring food with you.

3 motels are available in Bethany, MO 14 miles from our preserve.

Harding Gamebirds Archery & Rifle Deer Information

Since we are located in the heart of the Midwest in Northwest Missouri, we have some of the best Whitetail Missouri bow and rifle Deer and wild Missouri Turkey hunting available.

Our family has lived and hunted this land for over 100 years. We own or control over 5,000 acres of the most desirable archery and rifle deer and turkey land. We have hardwood timber consisting of mature hickory, oak and walnut trees for Missouri Turkey to roost in and Missouri whitetail Deer to roam through. On our hunting acres we also have open crop fields of corn and soybeans, CRP fields, pastures and hay ground with some draws and combinations of the above. We have food plots set out that the Whitetail Deer and wild Turkeys run in every day. Whitetail Missouri Deer and wild Missouri Turkey can be seen daily on our land which is solely reserved for our hunters. We spread our hunters out and limit the number of hunters we take so everyone has plenty of room to move around in their area.

We pride ourselves on our level of service, quality Whitetail Deer and wild turkey, competitive prices and memorable hunts.

Our hunts will make you want to come back again and again. Whether it is archery or rifle Whitetail Deer or wild Turkey hunting we have the right hunt for you.

Our archery deer hunts consist of 6 day hunts starting on Saturdays of each week and ending on Thursdays with Friday used to move in to scout area and get set up or take stands down after the hunt.

The archery deer hunts consist of 1 buck, 1 doe, and 2 turkeys. The rifle season consist of one buck or doe.

All hunts are semi guided; we will give you maps of your area, take you there and tell you about where we have been getting pictures of deer/turkeys in the area.

From there hunters transport themselves to and from the managed property and make tree stand adjustments as deer movements dictates. It is important that you bring a portable tree stand with you so you can adjust to deer movement.

We have a heated faculty to clean deer and will help you get your deer out of the timber.

We also have a processing facility within 3 miles for those who prefer to have them process you meat. This is truly a hunter's paradise. We have several hotels 10 minutes away, several restaurants and fast food places that are located just 3 miles off of I-35 interstate. They do get booked fast during hunting season, so plan early. Let us know what we can do; we will work with you to try and make your hunt dates work for you!

We hold gamebird hunts September 1 March 30 on our Northwest Missouri Gamebird Farm for our Ringneck Pheasants, Chukars and Bobwhite Quail.

We also have Missouri Whitetail Deer Hunting and wild Missouri Turkey Hunting available during regular Missouri hunting seasons. During hunts you will have the run of our hunting preserve areas to hunt Pheasant, Chukars, and Quail and train your dog(s) as you please. We do offer hunts any way that you want them. You can hunt gamebirds all day long if desired. There is no bag limit on Pheasant, Chucker or Quail. We do try to meet everyone's individual hunting party needs as long as they are reasonable (we can't supply bird dogs for everyone in a hunting party of 100).

Whether you need to relax in the great outdoors, need more practice shooting or helping a beginner get started.

We offer a wide array of hunting opportunities that you and all of your hunting buddies will love. We offer some of the lowest prices with no gun charges and no per person charges, we charge only for the birds you want released. Our Pheasant, Chukar and Quail areexcellent birds and are flight conditioned to be exceptional flyers to give you a great hunt. Our game bird hunts will make you want to come back again and again. Whether it is Ringneck Pheasant, Chukar or Bobwhite Quail hunting, we have the right hunt for you.

Our gamebird preserve is 1000 acres, consisting largely of open CRP fields, perfect for Ringneck Pheasants, Chukars, and Bobwhite Quail hunts.

In the Gamebird Preserve area there are open fields with fence lines, food plots, ditches with some brush, a few brush piles and some standing timber (hunting quail in and around timber offers a larger challenge for those seeking it).

Some hunters like the steady rhythm of flushing out Pheasant, Chukar, or Quail one by one which is excellent for training a birddog by smelling only one or two.

Others love the excitement they feel when a covey of 10 or 20 break loose in front of them. If seeing a large covey appear in front of you doesn't get a beginners juices flowing nothing will.

Many hunters enjoy the open CRP fields where they can have clear and open shots of Pheasant, Chukars and Quail with no obstacles in their way.

Some hunters live for the challenges of ditch walking or brush hunting where small trees and limbs may temporarily block an easy shot. Because of our unique hunting area we can provide many different types of challenges for you and your dog if desired.

Our gamebird preserve hunts consists mainly of a mixture of both male and female birds so that the gamebirds not shot will have a chance to populate in the wild, enhancing future hunts for all. On our Pheasant, Chukars and Quail Preserve hens are legal to shoot as we are not a hunting club or organization but a preserve. We are happy to answer any of your questions and comments about our hunts and our hunting areas.

We do have dogs and handlers available $65.00 for 12 day. You tell us how many you want released at the below prices.

We also have 3 day Missouri preserve hunting license on hand for $5.00.

a year Missouri preserve permits good from July 1, 2014 June 30, 2015 for $10.00, if you do not have a Missouri small game hunting license.

Rule changes that appear in the 2014 Wildlife Code, which should be available by mid-February, become effective March 1, 2014 and are highlighted in this summary.

Hunters, are responsible for understanding the regulations before venturing a field.

We do require a 50% minimum deposit to put your name on the list. The rest is due anytime before your final shipping date which we will e-mail to you prior to shipping. All other dates are tentative and may be moved up or back.

Orders and Shipping

Delivery Dates

Orders are taken on a first paid, first served basis. Please call or e-mail for available shipping dates for eggs and chicks. Mature birds are typically available all year. The best strategy for ordering is to order at least 30 days before your desired delivery date.

Method of payment

We accept Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover), Check or Money Order. When paying by credit card we do charge the whole order amount upon our receipt of the order unless requested otherwise.

Deposit

We DO NOT ship COD. We do require 50% minimum non-refundable deposit before you can go on the shipping list. The rest of the bill is due anytime before your final shipping date which we will e-mail to you prior to shipping. Full payment is required in advance on all orders before shipping date.

Disclaimer

All loss claims are the responsibility of the carrier. If your shipment arrives damaged you must start a claim immediately at the post office. We insure all shipments for 100% of their value through the post office and any claim must be done by the post office where the eggs where sent to. Please check your orders before you leave the post office, this will speed up any claim process. We do not guarantee the hatchability of eggs.

Shipping

All shipping charges are paid by the customer. All orders are filled with a 5% overrun of the order to compensate for small losses that may occur during shipment. Arrangements may be made for customer pickup of ANY size order. No shipping charges for orders that are picked up.

Eggs

USPS Priority Mail Two Day Delivery. You can pick up the eggs at your local post office as soon as they arrive. DO INSPECT IMMEDIATELY when you receive the eggs as all claims must be started by our customers BEFORE YOU LEAVE the post office with the order. We will call or email to notify you when to expect them. Shipping on eggs is $35 per box. We will put up to 1000 Quail or 360 Pheasant eggs per box. We can ship any day of the week.

Day-old Chicks

Pick up at farm only.

Customer Pickup

You may arrange to pick up any order (eggs, chicks or mature birds). There is no shipping charge on orders that are picked up. However there may be a small charge for containers if we provide them. Orders may be picked up any day of the week. Please call ahead.

Delivery by Truck

We will deliver any order of mature birds within a radius of about 200 miles from Bethany, Missouri. Shipping by truck is $0.50 per loaded mile. Deliveries can be made any day of the week.
