Welcome to the "Bow Wow Playhouse" where well-behaved dogs come and spend the night and day. It is a slumber party for dogs!
Lucinda offers a specialized in-home service for small to medium sized dogs in her private home on a quarter acre overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Happy Pets will take two to three dogs at a time only. An in-our home assessment is done to make sure that your dog gets along with our dogs. If your dog is social and passes the interview, then your dog is welcome to enjoy the Bow Wow House and all house privileges. Call for an initial phone interview.
Cat Sitting
Happy Pets delivers a variety of cat services.
With our personalized House calls your cats can stay in their own place and will be much happier. We feed fresh food, refill all water bowls and maintain the litter box. We follow your directions to the letter. We also administer medication from pills to shots. Happy Pets can also take your cat to the vet, groomer and deliver pet supplies to your home.

Dog Walking
We can keep your dog on his/her regular schedule in your neighborhood while you work long days or are out of town for the day or week.
We can arrive in the morning, lunch time or evening. We can also provide day excursions to local spots from Asilomar Beach to Garland Park.

From Amphibians to Zebras to small caged pets, Happy Pets has had the privilege of caring for some very unusual critters!
Amphibians
Birds, Cockatiels, Ducks, Frogs, Ferrets, Feral Cats, Goats, Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Hummingbirds, Iguanas, Blue Jays, Llamas, Millipedes, Oscar the Pig, Pony (miniature), Rabbits, Rats, Snakes, Squirrels, Tarantulas, Wolf-hybrids and Zebras too!
Yes its true- a herd of 20 zebras in Monterey County.
The client wanted Happy Pets to feed the three dogs, the outdoor cats and keep an eye on the herd. The responsibilities included observing the zebras for any abnormal behaviors from other pasture critters, holes in the fence line and daily reporting to the ranch hands.

Grooming
We are more than happy to bathe your dog in a beautiful indoor shower.
Bring home a sweet smelling and fluffy dog. One happy dog, Wiley, gets the professional treatment. I can arrange for a "Professional Mobile Groomer" to come ro my Place for all your dogs grooming needs.
We also offer pet massages.

House Sitting
Happy Pets home services include caring for your home and plants while you travel.
We water plants, bring in the mail, alternate lights and take out the trash to the curb. Expecting a special delivery? We can pick-up packages from FedEx or UPS as well. Even if your pets are else where, we can look after your home as well.
I have one client who has over 30 bonsai plants.
The plants are watered and misted early in the morning before the sun is high. He and his wife travel with their terrier and so I am in charge of HIS precious plants! -Lucinda Andersen.

Happy Pets provides a pet taxi service for all pet needs.
We can drive your pet to the vet, the groomer, or kennels. We can pick up and deliver pet food and medications. We happily coordinate grooming appointments and vet check-ups for busy parents.

Pooper Scooper
When you do not have time to clean up your yard, schedule us to come in for weekly or bimonthly maintenance.
A good green idea! On your next walk, carry compostable BioBags (biobagusa.com or Whole Foods) which will decompose in one to six weeks.
Special Needs Animals
As our pets get older, walk slower they will need extra TLC.
We specialize in caring for older pets. Here is a picture of Thunder a husky-malamute dog who had both of his eyes removed within a year of each other. When he came over for doggy day care we simply added bells to all the dogs' collars so Thunder could hear everyone's whereabouts. It was amazing to watch as he adjusted to his surroundings after becoming blind.
