This weekly two hour class is for hula students with at least 1 year of hula experience. It builds upon the foundation laid in beginner classes and goes deeper into the hula studying all aspects that make up the Hula: plants, chants, mythology and history. Both the classical Kahiko is taught as well as the modern Auana.
Hula I - Beginning Hula
Learn basic hula in our beginner classes. Each class is progressive to the individual, so drop in at any of the scheduled classes and build on your own skills from the previous week. While each class is different, we will focus primarily on footwork and hip motions, and then begin to integrate hands with feet and hip movements in a simple hula.
Hula II - Auana
The class will learn Auana (modern) hula. Wonderful toning of the body and strengthening of core muscles.
