Learn to use Autodesk Inventor for 3D CAD for 3D printing. We will do a 1 hour lecture/tutorial on the basic principles of how the software works, and then a 2 hour "study hall" in which you, the students, will design something on your own while I, the instructor, make the rounds and help people out with their specific problems.
Arduino Workshop for Girls
Students will first learn basic concepts of circuitry and programming and get hands-on experience with components including switches and LEDs. Build a Love-o-Meter for Valentine's Day! This is class for girls ages 9-13 taught by women in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) and is hosted by Hack Manhattan.
Basic Arduino Class with Trinket
You will learn: How to connect the Arduino to your computer; How to blink an LED; How to read input from a pushbutton and a thermistor. How to approach more advanced topics and attach other sensors and actuators This class is a basic introduction to physical computing with the Adafruit Trinket, a smaller, cheaper variant of the Arduino.
