Gusano’s Chicago-Style Pizzeria began in July, 2004, in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was the idea of Ben Biesenthal, president and founder of Gusano’s, and his partners Tim Chappell and Grub Christie. Ben grew up in Chicago and later moved to Arkansas to attend the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He never lost sight of his love for his hometown pizza. Later after graduating, he created the recipes and began developing Gusano’s Chicago Style-Pizzeria. Ben worked in the restaurant doing everything from cooking to bartending to bussing tables in order to make the store successful. Within a few short years, he and his partners were able to make each store location flourish. Now Gusano’s has seven locations Little Rock, Conway, Bentonville, Bella Vista, and Fayetteville in Arkansas; Joplin, Missouri; and our first franchise store in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
