Our GB Kids Program is designed to teach children self-discipline as well as providing a unique way to express themselves. Our instructors are trained to interact and offer gentle correction for children and teens who practice the art of Jiu-Jitsu. Children over the age of three can begin their training at any of our 700 Gracie Barra Schools, experiencing the true power of brotherhood and integrity.
Our GBK program is structured similarly to adult courses, with adaptations and modifications made to reach the different age ranges in the class.
Jiu-Jitsu classes for children begin with the building blocks that are needed to teach the fundamentals of Jiu-Jitsu. We have developed a curriculum that is structured in a way that shows children and teens the value of routine, cooperation and self-awareness.

We offer a wide range of adult Jiu-Jitsu classes in El Paso so students can choose the class that best suits their needs. We have three tiers of classes that address varying degrees of skill and knowledge. They are as follows:
GB1
This course can be thought of as Jiu-Jitsu for beginners. This course teaches the fundamentals and principles of BJJ as well as the skills you need to grow personally in a Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle.
GB2
Advance your Jiu-Jitsu game flow during this course. Take your training beyond the fundamentals and begin to hone the principles you need to succeed, such as discipline, respect, commitment, and leadership.
GB3
This program is designed to help students achieve Black Belt excellence. At this stage, a student will begin applying what they learn during their Jiu-Jitsu training to everyday life.

We Offer Private Jiu-Jitsu Lessons for Students in Canutillo, Sunland Park and Ciudad Juarez to Help You Gain a Deeper Understanding of the Art and Take Your Training to the Next Level.
This is the preferred method of training for many of our champions who participate in competitions due to the personalized attention each student receives. The one-on-one time you get during your private training is essential to learning Jiu-Jitsu.
Instructors
Professor Jeff Vigil
ICP4, ICP5, ICP6, ICP6_Revisited, CPR. Professor Jeff started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2002 in Santa Fe, New Mexico under Professor Alberto Crane. Over the years, Professor Alberto brought many Brazilian champions and Masters through his doors that Professor Jeff had the opportunity to be either training partners with or to learn from, including: Master Carlos Gracie, Jr., Professor Vinicius "Draculino" Magalhães, Professor Romulo Barral, Professor Roberto "Tussa" Alencar, Professor Rafael "Barata" Freitas, and Professor Don Ortega. Over the course of his career, Professor Jeff has coached numerous competitors in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and mixed martial arts events worldwide. Professor Jeff received his black belt from Professor Tussa in 2012, and it was at that time that he brought Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to El Paso. Now a second degree black belt, Professor Jeff is the proud Head Instructor/Owner of Gracie Barra El Paso Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy.
Professor Frisco DeLeon
ICP6, ICP6_Revisited, CPR. With over 17 years of experience, Professor Frisco has enjoyed a successful career in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, and mixed martial arts. His training as a wrestler and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner began when he was ten years old. Since that time, he has fluctuated between competing in wrestling, grappling, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu year-round, including participation in Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) and International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) events. After receiving a wrestling scholarship, he focused purely on wrestling throughout his college years. He has compiled an amateur MMA record of 3-2, with all wins by submission. Professor Frisco holds a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science. He now teaches, trains, and competes full time as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with Gracie Barra El Paso.

GB School staff clean the facilities constantly, and all GB uniforms are washed regularly. Our GB School mats are cleaned on a daily basis with a specially designed cleaning agent that neutralizes bacteria, fungus and odors without detriment to the equipment.
