Gallimaufry Gallery opened in 1975 by Pat Rodarte and Michael Merkle as a place to sell their own crafts. At that time Pat did knitting, weaving and leather work as well as macrame' (a craft that flourished for a few years in the late 70's and early 80's and hasn't been heard from since). Michael made sandals and other leather work and stained glass. The gallery evolved to include the works of other local and national artists, and then to feature international handmade artwork as well. Now Gallimaufry features work from nearly 100 different craftspeople.
During September we will be CLOSED the following days:
Tues-Fri Sept 16,17 18 & 19
Tues -Thurs Sept 23,24,25
& Saturday Sept 27
About Us
Since 1975 Gallimaufry Gallery has been featuring handmade art and crafts, both American and International. We make every effort to insure that craft works from other countries are fairly traded.
