Are you curious about this type of painting? You begin the painting without knowing what the final image or theme will be as you open to your unconscious, and through the process, allow an image to emerge. The time spent with these pure colors and liquids is rejuvenating to the body and soul.

Painting the Elements: Earth, Water, Air and Fire
Fridays, noon-2 PM, Jan. 26 - March 1, 2024. This class includes a series of paintings of The Elements. We will use the Hauschka Therapeutic Painting Technique to paint each of the elements, and explore them as a metaphor of the temperaments within us. The Hauschka Therapeutic Watercolor Painting method is a gentle introduction to the creative process, and invites us to open to our unconscious, and through the process, to allow an image to emerge. The time spent with these pure colors and liquids is rejuvenating to the body and soul.

Drawing Classes
Beginning Drawing – In Person and Online Class
$299.00
For ages 12 – Adult. Wednesday Afternoons, 4-6 PM, Feb. 7 – March 27, 2024. Artists are "See-ers". They literally see the world around them in a different way than the rest of us. Yet, all of us have the ability to be "see-ers". To learn how to draw, we must first learn to "look" without preconceptions. We will practice this artist's way of looking and drawing from observation, and experiment with a number of drawing techniques that have been used by artists over the centuries. This class is geared towards beginners… but is suitable for those who wish to refresh their drawing skills, or just need a class or assignment to get them going. Students will be asked to provide a 9″ x 12″ sketchbook, several drawing pencils, a kneaded eraser and a blending stump/tortillon.
Work at your own pace with these pre-recorded videos of beginning drawing subjects. New videos will be released regularly. Contact donna@donnawebb.com for more information.
(per video class)$20.00

Therapeutic Charcoal Drawing: Working with the Conscious and Unconscious To Find Balance
Therapeutic Charcoal Drawing: Working with the Conscious And Unconscious To Find Balance
$55.00
Sunday, Feb.4, 2024, 2 – 4 PM, Therapeutic CHARCOAL DRAWING working with the Conscious and Unconscious to find Balance. Join me for an afternoon working in charcoal with the primordial archetypes of light and darkness, inspired by the Collot methods of "Light, Color and Darkness" . In this context we refer to the activity of light and darkness not as good and evil, but in their archetypal activity. Light: consciousness, thinking, and the nerve-sense system. Darkness: Unconscious activity, warmth, the will and the metabolic system. Through the light of the thinking and nerve-sense process we are able to become more conscious, awake and focused, and able to respond in the moment. Through the warmth and darkness of the will and metabolic system, we hold, cherish and digest all that life brings to us. All materials provided. This class will be held in person. Call Donna at 612-518-2378 or email donna@donnawebb.com for information and registration (Pre-registration is required for the class to be held). Class is held at my studio space at the Casket Arts Carriage House, #302, (located behind the main building beside the grain elevators).
