We mark our beginnings to 1976 when the company began bringing frozen yogurt mix products from the East Coast of the United States back to the state of Michigan where we had opened a multi-concept dining and entertainment complex in the famed Somerset Mall in Troy, Michigan. First opened under the name Alfred's, the concept included soft-serve frozen yogurt served in signature presentation on a Belgian waffle with fresh fruit toppings.Later that same year, due much in part to the overwhelming response to the Frostyogurt® product, a retail kiosk location, operating under the name Harry's, opened at the Oakland Mall in Troy. At that same time, we formulated the Original Frostyogurt® product and by the mid-1980s, Product logosthe company had grown to own and operate store locations throughout Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.In 1988, we began offering our proprietary frozen dessert products, Frostyogurt® and Classic Custard® to other retailers throughout the Midwestern United States. By 1995, the product was enjoying success in a wide variety of food service operations from delis to retail groceries, from mom-and-pop seasonal ice cream stores to major department stores, from hospital food service facilities to office and plant cafeterias. Frostyogurt® grew to become the largest selling frozen yogurt product in the Midwest.
