Freddie's Specialties
All Freddie's Specialties Include A Choice Of A Cup Of The Soup Of The Day
Or A Garden Salad.
Freddie’s was founded by Fred Scialla in 1944 and was originally opened across the street from its present location at 563 Broadway in the building presently occupied by Wenning & Sons Wholesale Foods. It moved across the street in 1952 and has been there ever since. Fred Scialla was an Italian baker whose unique recipe for making pizza dough was apparently also a recipe for pizza success. Specializing in thin crust pizza and home-style Italian dinners Freddie’s has become an institution, feeding generations of families. Freddie’s itself is no stranger to family generations as it was originally operated by Freddie Sr. for many years and then by his four sons Joe, Sam, John and Freddie Jr. until 1995.
