The restaurant has a long list of food offerings, consisting of 30 combination dinners, about 20 a la carte orders, 20 appetizers and salads, and 60 Forest “especialidades” or specialities. That’s roughly 140 food selections to choose from! That does not include the vegetarian combinations that are also available. Herrera said that there’s something for everyone, but best sellers are the Molcajetes (mixed grill of streak, chicken, shrimp, jalapenos, green peppers and chorizo sausage served in a heated molcaejete – a traditional version of mortar and pestle), Chimichangas (deep fried stuffed burritos served with rice, beans and topped with sauces) and Burrito Grande (stuffed burrito with your choice of meats and vegetables).
