Washington?s Firehook Bakery & Coffeehouse was established in December 1992 with one simple goal: quality. Since then, Firehook has been offering customers the best and most authentic bakery goods and coffee in their neighborhood. To keep up with growing demand, we moved to a larger building on Fayette Street in Old Town Alexandria in 1998. This new building offers more efficient space, larger refrigeration capabilities, and new equipment, including a new bread oven. In May 2001, Brian P. Murphy, a native Washingtonian and loyal customer coined the phrase ?Washington Born, Washington Bread? to describe Firehook.
