Spinal Manipulation
Spinal Manipulation
Spinal Manipulation is commonly referred to as an adjustment and is performed to improve joint function and reduce pain
This technique involves retraining the spine and supporting muscles to function in a healthier way.
During your manipulation (also known as an adjustment) one of our highly experienced chiropractors will identify the specific spinal segments that are misaligned.
A segment that is misaligned will typically be accompanied by pain, stiffness, loss of mobility, muscle spasms and nerve irritation.
After the diagnosis our chiropractors will place controlled pressure onto your spinal joint to bring your entire spinal column into balance.
Spinal manipulation can be used to:
Restore normal motion to the joints of the spine
Relax tightened muscles
Improve coordination
Reduce pain
Extremity Manipulation
Extremity manipulation can mobilize the muscles and joints that may be contributing to musculoskeletal issues
Whilst anti-inflammatory drugs or surgery may be prescribed to treat the symptoms of these conditions
extremity manipulation can be a great tool to eliminate the source of the pain and discomfort for good.
Our Westlake Village based Chiropractors can perform extremity manipulation to restore mobility
and nerve supply to the joints and extremities that are negatively affecting the nervous system.
Painful Conditions
Poor alignment of the spine and extremities can cause a variety painful conditions including:
Shoulder pain
Carpal tunnel
Knee pain
Sprained ankles
Elbow pain
Hip pain
Foot pain

Massage has a number of beneficial effects on the body and the mind.

Massage also can help with muscle spasms as well as soft tissue injuries.
